DJoyBeat Event Spotlight

Friday, July 11 : Zebo @ The Mid

Zebo is one of those Chicago natives that has truly made a name for himself at home. He plays the hottest clubs each night during the weekends, and really stands out as one of the best. Even though many DJs these days play like they have ADD, Zebo stands alone as one who loves music and will not destroy it by doing that. The Mid’s intimate setting is perfect for his love for the crowd and he should deliver the best of each genre required for dancing.

The Weekend Rundown

Thursday, July 10

Loudpvck @ The Mid

Based out of Los Angeles, Loupvck is here to bring you the best that music has to offer. Their mixes are both smooth and loud, which may sound confusing, but when you hear them it’ll all come together. They have a true affinity for trap and mashups, and their work with the likes of Paper Diamond reflect that. The Mid will bring them close to their audience, which makes it perfect for the start to the weekend.

Colette @ Evil Olive

Female DJs are few and far between. However, it seems that if and when you can find a good one, they’re usually the sexiest beings on earth. Colette is no different. She has been in the scene since the ’90s and does not plan on stopping anytime soon. Her style is unique and she adds her sultry vocals as she spins the best tracks around. Hailing from Chicago, the Evil Olive will welcome this starlet with open arms and lots of smoke machines.

The Black Madonna @ Smart Bar

It seems Saturday is the night for female DJ takeover. Marea Vierge-Noire, aka The Black Madonna, brings us Chicago house music at its best. If you’re trying to get deep with it, this is the place to be. Her soulful grooves should make Smart Bar bump in the night, with toes tapping and bums shaking into the wee hours of the morning. Make sure and bring a dance partner for this one, things are going to get sexy.
