Miami gets an extra large dose of local love this Thursday at Do Not Sit On the Furniture’s Homegrown Heroes showcase. Created with the intention of showing off some of the brightest names in Miami’s local music scene, the Homegrown Heroes showcase gives music lovers and party-goers a chance to celebrate the Magic City’s deep-seated passion for nightlife and good music, all the while supporting artists from their own backyard. The event should prove that you really don’t have to go very far to find amazing music and an exceptional experience.
This week’s event will explore different sides of techno and house with performances from SK Supreme’s outfit Dakap, long-time Space Loft resident ALX (performing as Axtraxt), and Milo T. No frills and all about the music, Do Not Sit is a dress-code free zone – we only suggest that you bring a good pair of dancing shoes. Since the showcase aims to honor Miami’s “homegrown heroes,” cover will be waived all night to patrons with a Miami or Miami Beach ID. Get ready for a night of good, homegrown music.
