Secret Night Society ft. Derrick Carter, Colette, Gabriel Angel, and DJ Kam @ Ohm Nightclub

Saturday Night Sessions, an LA-based record label showcasing underground talent, brings you a special event this Friday with some of the best of Chicago underground. Derrick Carter brings his signature sound to one of Hollywood’s newest venues, Ohm Nightclub, located at the top of the Hollywood & Highland Center. Joining him is Chicago house’s femme fatale and resident DJ of Smartbar Chicago, Colette, who also happens to be an incredible vocalist. With support from Gabriel Angel and DJ Kam, this is going to be one of those occasions that leaves sore for days from dancing the night away. It is also one of the few events that is 18+, so even if you can’t (legally) booze it up you can come get drunk on good vibes and great tunes.

Discotek ft. Eric Jerome, Greg Goldberg, AJ Mora, Savi Leon, and Jaime Narvaez @ The Cosmo

If you haven’t experienced Discotek yet, your ears should be ashamed. The weekly party showcases quality disco, deep, and tech house and is hosted at The Cosmo, a plush venue located right in the heart of Hollywood. Discotek’s format has mastered “the journey” that is essential for a night of endless dancing with seamless artist rotation and steady escalation towards the perfectly timed peak. Discotek founder, Jaime Narvaez, says that what makes this night so special is “the sexy, deep tech house, the dancing crowd, and the phenomenal vibe.” Discotek is also set to launch as a monthly event in Vegas with the grand opening on July 4th at the Artisan with headliners Lavelle Dupree, JJ Flores, and Jaime Narvaez.

X Thursdays ft. Mark Lewis, Franco Munoz, and Bakman @ Xen Lounge (Studio City)

Here is another new party popping up on our weekly radar. X Thursdays at Xen Lounge boasts a chill, more lounge-y atmosphere than the typical Hollywood club night set to a soundtrack of sexy beats and sultry bass. Mark Lewis is considered one of the pioneers of the LA dance music scene and has been dropping beats since 1988. Accompanying Lewis on the lineup is Franco Munoz, who hails from Barcelona, and special guest, Bakman, whose musical talents also include the saxophone, piano, and guitar.

Summer of Love ft. Paolo Santi @ The Blue Lounge (Moonshadows in Malibu)

One of the best parts about living in California is the ocean, so we can’t think of a better combination than really good house music and the crashing of ocean waves. Moonshadows in Malibu was named the No. 11 bar/lounge in the world by CNN, and once you have been to The Blue Lounge, extending right over the water, you will sea why. The party starts at 7 p.m., just in time for sunset.

Soul & Tonic ft. DJ Dan @ King King

DJ Dan has been an iconic figure in dance music for two decades. Notorious for rocking some seriously funky beats, he keeps dancefloor enthusiasts wiggling from start to finish and his engaging personality makes his fans feel like welcome friends instead of an audience of onlookers. Come dance away your work-week woes.

Inception presents “The Road to EDC”  ft. Mat Zo and Darin Epsilon @ Exchange LA

This Saturday, Inception presents “The Road to EDC” and features British trance producer, Mat Zo. 2013 was a hot year for him as he embarked on his massive world tour, Damage Control, named for his debut album that dropped in November. The massively talented, Darin Epsilon, will compliment the night with his deeper, melodic music style.

Avaland presents Coldharbour Night ft. Khomha, Grube & Hovsepian, and Mike Push @ Avalon

Coldharbour Nights are always some of the best, especially when the musical medium is Avalon’s outrageously powerful sound system. Headliners include Coldharbour prodigy, KhoMha, Grube & Hovsepian, and Mike Push. If you  haven’t seen the “new” Avalon, this would be a spectacular night to check out the new and improved historic Hollywood staple.

SoundsLike Summer Terrace ft. Trent Cantrelle, Miguel Ortiz, and Rob Powell @ Room 86 (inside Dim Mak Studios)

We will probably say it until we’re blue in the face, but Sunday Terrace continues to prove itself one of the best parties of the week. Sunday’s lineup includes Las Vegas’s Miguel Ortiz and Rob Powell with SoundsLike resident label boss, Trent Cantrelle, bringing it home. There is no doubt that this Sunday night dance fest has resulted in numerous lost jobs. We suggested that there be some sort of support group, to which Trent replied, “Yeah… that meets on Sundays!”

Clinic Wednesdays presents Wulfpack Showcase @ Couture LA

Join us at Clinic Wednesdays for the Wulfpack Showcase. Wulfpack is an LA based, deep house/electronic music label and the event lineup is fully loaded with some serious talent. When we asked Wulfpack artist Riley Warren what the deal was with Pee Wee, she said, “[He] makes everyone laugh and smile… and he’s a little pervy, just like all of us. He’s a perfect wulf!” Come join the  Wulfpack and get your pic with Pee Wee.
