DJOYbeat Event Spotlight

LINK and Miami Rebels present Sharam and Anthony Attalla @ Underground Story, Saturday July 26

This weekend, two legends come together under one roof for Underground Story at Story nightclub. Detroit techno heavyweight Anthony Attalla will be touching down in Miami as part of his summer tour. While the dress code will be kept lax, you can already assume the music is guaranteed to be nothing short of first class.

The Weekend Rundown

Thursday, July 24

LINK and Miami Rebels present Recondite (Live) @ Trade

The literal definition of ‘”recondite” is “abtruse” or “little known.” In the world of underground music, it refers to the Berlin-based techno pioneer who’s about as enigmatic as his performance name intimates. LINK and Miami Rebels invites you to come discover more about the mystery man at Trade this Thursday night.

Just Dance presents Cash Cash @ LIV

New Jersey based electronic group Cash Cash will be taking over LIV Miami this Saturday night. For everyone out there who’s still gushing over their killer remix of Katy Perry’s “Birthday,” you can expect a night of super sized beats and plenty of energy to go around.

DTF Thursdays @ SET

If you still haven’t jumped on the EDM bandwagon or perhaps need a break from the world of electronic, hop on over to SET. Their DTF Thursdays are the best in the city when it comes to open format, and you won’t have to sacrifice an ultra posh VIP club experience to get your fill of musical variety. Are you DTF?

Joe Mazz @ Wall Lounge

This Thursday, The W Hotel’s Wall Lounge welcomes back one of Miami’s own, Joe Mazz, to take the decks. Having tag teamed in the past with Danny Daze and Gigamesh as Disco Tech and Senor Stereo, Mazz’s show at Wall celebrates his move toward focusing on a solo career. With all his nationwide residencies, we’re excited to see him take command at our cozy, beloved Wall.

The Astrea Corporation with M&M and Agent Rose @ Bardot

This is a show for the eclectic experimenter. If you are into off-kilter and unique sounds, you will want to check out the Astrea Corporation, coming to Bardot’s red carpet this Thursday. We’re dubbing this brand of music something like trip-hop-meets-glitch-hop-meets-electronica.

Friday, July 25

LINK and Miami Rebels present Lee Foss @ Trade

If you missed him at one of the city’s big room clubs earlier this month (scratch that, even if you saw him in the big room), you won’t want to miss this legend work his magic in Trade’s warehouse style setting. Stop by the venue this Friday for an intimate affair you’ll be hard pressed to find anywhere else in Miami.

Super Fridays @ Mansion

Mansion is giving a whole new meaning to the term “ladies night.” Release your inner superhero this Friday at Mansion’s aptly titled “Super Fridays.” Ladies can text the word “SUPER” to the number 38714 and they will receive complimentary entry and a drink on the club. Talk about a sweet deal.

If you are more in the mood for some variety, make LIV your party destination this Friday. Open format superstar and celebrity favorite DJ M.O.S will be doing his ‘thang behind the decks. Its going to be the house party you always wished you could throw at your place.

Michael Brun @ Story

With the city still buzzing about his recent performance at LIV, Miami resident Michael Brun takes over the Magic City once again this Friday night at Story. We would tell you what to expect, but we’re guessing you already know.

L’Adour @ SET

This weekend is looking more and more like a tribute to Miami locals. Another 305 favorite, L’Adour, is making his South Beach club circuit once again. This Friday he’s returning to SET for a high energy night that is sure to have the venue packed from wall to wall.

Mr. Mauricio @ Wall Lounge

Wall Lounge welcomes another SKAM artist this Friday to set the tone for the weekend. Globally nicknamed the “club king,” Mr. Mauricio’s eclectic blend of genres has always been known to get the dance floor moving – and to keep it that way long into the early hours of the morning. If you want to catch a true Miami ambassador in action in his hometown, start your weekend off at swanky Wall Lounge.

Manufactured Superstars and Los De La Vega @ Adore

One of the newest clubs on the Beach, Adore welcomes dance music duo Manufactured Superstars and South Beach local Los De La Vega (often known more simply as LDLV). Expect two high octane sets and a night full of non stop action.

Lazaro Casanova extended set @ Bardot

If you didn’t see him go back to back with Oscar G as Futro this Tuesday at Bardot, shame on you. Fortunately, you’ll have a second chance to experience Miami’s Lazar Casanova at the same spot this Friday for a special extended set. No dress code, no fuss, no problem.

Justin Prime @ Mokai

Dutch progressive and electro house producer Justin Prime (also known as Mr. Cannonball) takes the stage at Mokai this Saturday night. With roots in hard style and techno, Justin Prime has never failed to deliver a set that is unique in sound and heavy on the genre bending.

Robbie Rivera presents Juicy Music @ Space (Terrace room)

Everybody loves Space, and everybody in Miami loves Juicy Music. Surprise, surprise – this Saturday’s Terrace room headliner is Magic City legend Robbie Rivera. Let’s get tribal, everybody.

DIPLO and Tony GAdore

By our books, we could count on one hand the number of appearances DIPLO has made in Miami in the past year. We were shocked (in the best kind of way) when we found out he’ll be making a pit stop in our fair city this Saturday at – you guessed it – Miami’s most recent addition to the nightlife scene: Adore. He will be joined by Miami Beach local DJ Tony G.

SET Saturdays @ SET

Known for its reputation of drawing some of the most attractive patrons in the city, SET Saturdays are a great place to let loose and have a great time without having to deal with insanely long lines and the nerve racking crowded atmosphere you usually encounter at some of the weekend’s bigger headlining shows.

Also Consider: Feel the Spirit with Jellybean Benitez @ Do Not Sit On the Furniture, Starf*cker Saturdays @ Mokai, Sunkissed Saturdays @ Nikki Beach

Sunday, July 27

Evolution Sundays with Louis Dee @ SET

When it comes to nightlife, it doesn’t get sexier or more glamorous than SET, and their Evolution Sunday party series takes it to a whole new level. If you still have energy left in you, head to SET – they’ll remind you that there’s no rule that says the weekend has to end on Sunday.

Tom Staar @ Story

Its not every weekend that Story schedules a world class headliner on a Sunday, but this is one of those rare occasions. Britain based producer and superstar remixer Tom Staar takes the spotlight this Sunday at the Miami mega club. We hope you rested up for this one – Staar’s sets are known to be festival sized in terms of sound and unforgiving when it comes to laying siege to the dancefloor. This is a great opportunity for everyone who wants to end their weekend with a bang (and doesn’t have to worry about showing up early to work the next morning).

Nikki Beach Brunch @ Nikki Beach

Okay, so its not a headlining show. If you are familiar to Miami, though, you probably already know that Sunday brunch at Nikki Beach is a time-honored tradition. The prices are steep (don’t let the laid back, beach-y ambiance fool you), but the food is incredible and the lounge atmosphere and over-sized cabana beds always makes you feel like you are worth a million bucks.
