Pulse Music News Minute: Week of March 31, 2015

Penguin Prison releases the “Never Gets Old” remix EP in advance of his full length album, Lost in New York, out May 5.
Alesso keeps churning out the singles, this time teaming up with fashion brand Carolina Herrera to collaborate and produce the track “If It Wasn’t For You” which he premiered during Ultra.
Deniz Koyu releases the track “Sonic” out now on Beatport.
Frankie Knuckles was honored at the IDMA’s in Miami with a lifetime achievement award. Other winners include Shiba San, Tiga, Hardwell, Armin van Buuren, DJ Snake, Calvin Harris, Hardwell, Justin Martin, Carl Cox and more.
Amtrac has two new remixes out: Check out his version of Camelphat’s “Paradigm” and his track “Those Days” (VIP Mix).


Skrillex is going on another train tour across Canada this July with eight stops called the Fullflex Express Tour
Justin Bieber joined Jack Ü on stage at Ultra to perform “Where Are Ü Now.”
Ultra Music Festival is already looking ahead to 2016 and announces it will take place March 18 to 20 so you have a whole year to prepare and/or recover.
Speaking of Ultra, Usher joined Martin Garrix on stage at the festival to perform their collaboration “Don’t Look Down.”

Narcissists be warned: Coachella and Lollapalooza have banned selfie sticks at the festivals.
Avicii and Martin Garrix are working on a new track they both teased during Ultra tentatively titled “Waiting for Love” and featuring John Legend.
Jamie xx will finally release his debut solo album, In Colour, out June 1 via Young Turks.
DJ Mag announces the top 100 club, with Vegas’ Hakkasan in at number 3, Life at 21, Drai’s at 25, Marquee at 27, Surrender/Encore at 32 and Light at 55. New York’s Output came in at 59 and Pacha at 61.
And out this week, The Prodigy’s The Day is My Enemy drops and you can check it out on Spotify.
Pulse 96.7 will be broadcasting live every Friday and Saturday starting at midnight at TRU Afterhours, 1700 E Flamingo. The party goes til 8.
