Random Promo: Tritonal Drops “Metamorphic III” EP

When we heard that this third edition of Metamorphic would be the final chapter of the EP series by Tritonal that we’ve be been in love with since the beginning, we had some very bittersweet feelings. Our reluctance to see the story come to an end, however, was tempered by our delight when we heard what a masterpiece the final installment turned out to be. Taking its lead from its dancefloor-oriented predecessors Metamorphic I and II, the EP wastes no time drawing listeners in. The opening track, “Satellite,” is a high-energy dancefloor weapon that combines hard electro synths with booming vocals from singer Jonathan Mendelsohn. Immediately following, the uplifting ballad “Anchor” catapults listeners sky high with climatic builds that launch into soaring euphoric melodies. We’re likely to hear this one played during many a festival set this summer. Wrapping up the compilation is the dark and haunting downtempo gem “Seraphic,” which takes the EP from the club or festival to a place of reflection and depth. True to its name, the tune enchants listeners with its dreamlike beauty and brings the EP to a powerful and emotional close.

Then again, as true Tritonians we would not expect anything less of the celebrated duo. Metamorphic III is, after all, special in more ways than just one; the EP celebrates the 200th release on the Chad and Dave’s globally celebrated Enhanced Recordings imprint, Enhanced Music. Obviously, we would agree that it definitely builds off the success of the previous two Metamorphic chapters, but this third and closing chapter has all the power and musical capability to stand on its own as a landmark EP. You can check out the official three track teaser below to see what we’re talking about.
