Bar A Bar

Located in swanky Stone Newington, Bar A Bar is a new face on London’s increasingly stylish club scene. Home to cutting edge techno it’s where you’ll find a lot of underground talent on the decks, as up and coming DJs make their slow way towards the top. A bar during the day, it transforms into a tiny debauched club when the DJ’s come on. Friendly and intimate, it is a little on the upper cool side, and popular with east London’s trendiest.

Nights here rarely cost more than £8 entry but they can be hit and miss. Album launches are a speciality and a variety of promoters host monthly nights including Freitag on the first Friday of the month. Thursday nights are home to a reggae /dub night. When the venue is full there is an easily excitable crowd that keeps going until 4am, when empty it still feels more like a bar so scan the Facebook listing for the popular looking nights.
