Basing House

Another of Shoreditch’s upcoming clubs Basing House is a tiny venue that regularly hosts some big names. Peaking at 300 ravers it’s tight and cosy, and when the likes of Mark Farina and Paul Woolford are playing there is an in the know up for it crowd. With a devastating Funktion 1 sound system rocking the exposed bricks, Basing House is dedicated to underground music. Home to house, disco, and techno, its music style veers towards the experimental and alternative end of the spectrum.

Check the listings as it’s ticket only when Basing House hosts some of the big names. Only open on Friday and Saturdays, if you don’t have tickets you must arrive early, at least before midnight. Expect to get sweaty as there is no seating area or inside chill out space, although there is a packed rooftop smoking area. Not one for the show offs, this is a club for house music lovers who know their names and expect to spend eight hours on a dance floor.
