About FDR at DelanoThe Delano is one of South Beach’s really chic, superbly designed, and incredibly trendy hotel/day club/nightlife venue/must-do-at-least-once kinda places. Now, aside from the incredible neo-modern, art deco design, poolside cabanas, tasty and more importantly, elegant food, palm trees, pretty people, and sunshine, The Delano Beach Club also offers up a bit of the nightlife in the form of FDR. What used to be known as the Florida Room, has been redesigned and changed its focus from the cocktail culture which it once celebrated, to the intimate, leather and dark wood dance lounge it has become.
Call it classic opulence reimagined for the jet set party scene. Dark browns, gold accents, gilt, leather, glass…it really does manage to capture the feeling of a 40’s social club, updated with enough sophistication to become something wholly modern.
While the DJ lineup usually consists of established locals and up-and-coming national acts playing, dance floor heroes like Hardwell, Dennis Ferrer, James Zabiela dn Sander Kleinenberg do drop by, drop the bass and blow the crowd away. Bottle service is available, and dress to impress is the standard.
