About InitSort of a younger brother (but very ambitious and noisy) of the Artists Circle, Init is located behind this famous indie-rock club of via Casilina Vecchia. Entering the venue you are welcomed by a little courtyard that leads to the concert hall, equipped with a dancefloor and a nice stage. Both the ambient and the atmosphere are underground, following the CBGB model, where it’s all about draft beer, Negroni and solid sounds. The constant attention to music experimentation and to the new international trends has allowed Init to become one of the most alternative clubs of the city. Managed by musicians, Init owes this reputation to its special calendar that has seen, throughout the years, perfomances by incredible artists like Misfits, Martin Rev, Telephone Tel Aviv , Cat Claws, Karate, Motorama, Pansonic, Zu, Black Heart Procession, Geoff Farina, Liars, Shellac, Devendra Banhart, Calla, Cocorosie, Giardini Di Mirò, Melt Banana, Montefiori Cocktail, No Means No, The Dictators and Ulan Bator. Lately the club has broadened its horizons to clubbing music: on Saturday the techno crews Musthard and Glucose take turns, while on Thursday is time for the reggae event “Pull Up”, a new project by One Love Hi Pawa.
