About Julep at Night

The team behind Petit Robert Central, Blue Inc., McGreevy’s 3rd Base Saloon, The Whiskey Republic and Lola’s Tequila Bar & Cantina are proud to announce the arrival of Julep Bar, an upscale lounge featuring a perfect balance of cuisine, cocktails, hospitality and atmosphere. Located at 200 High Street in Boston’s Financial District, Julep Bar was developed to cater to a corporate clientele and is …set to open in early December 2011.
The venue space has been completely renovated by HGTV and Food Network designer, Taniya Nayak, who transformed the 400-person capacity space (formerly occupied by Revolution Rock Bar) into an intimately sophisticated lounge. “The combination of warm lighting, rich colors, vintage features and creative use of textures, work together to exude an incredibly welcoming, relaxed and comfortable environment” said Nayak.  “We also incorporated a variety of high top table and plush seating options into the wide open floor plan to accommodate a large after work crowd.”
The culinary team behind Blue Inc. has created a menu featuring a fresh take on classic American fare favorites.  Whether guests seek subtle twists on familiar classics (House Made Buffalo Duck Drumettes with Roquefort cheese, Creole Fried Calamari with Bloody Mary Sauce, BBQ & Horseradish Cheddar Cheese Burger) or indulgent bites (Spicy Tuna Tartare Tacos, Foie Gras Gravy & Cheese Fries) Julep Bar has something to suit all tastes and cravings with prices ranging from $5 to $19.
The craft bar program being implemented at Julep Bar includes intensive staff training on the art and science of cocktail creation, a garden-to-glass mentality and an impressive vintage cocktail selection, which of course, includes a signature Mint Julep. Guests can also expect to see thoughtful details incorporated throughout beverage service such as personalized drink stirrers and the use of vintage cocktail trays. “Being in the heart of the Financial District, it made sense for us to develop a venue concept which caters to the after work clientele. In addition to what we’ll offer in terms of menus and atmosphere, our main brand focus is the incorporation of personalized service” said Shannon Emerson Finks, Director of Marketing & Business Development for Julep Bar. “It’s having our staff recognize the difference between customer service versus a true hospitality mentality.  We took many steps to create a high level of personal service, including the addition of a concierge available via text, email or phone to answer questions, make reservations as well as be on-site to ensure a personalized drinking and dining experience.”
A vintage playhouse dedicated to the celebration of food, fun and first-class service, Julep Bar will also incorporate full capability to accommodate corporate functions, private dining, special events and nightlife.
