Larimer Lounge

The Larimer Lounge appears almost as a brick and mortar business, which makes sense seeing as how its roots are decades ago.

The music at Larimer Lounge will generally be rock metal and roll, punk or Indie. It’s one of the venues seen as a place local music lovers of those genres congregate. It has also been a popular destination for local bands to play regularly, as the lounge has live acts just about every night. Like any bar in Denver, there can be the occasional electronic song played, but for the most part the lounge sticks to live music with at least one guitar.

Live performances can be quite intimate as the short stage protrudes far into the crowd around it. This is great for people who love to get up close and personal to the sound and artists. Fortunately, if you don’t like to wade through a crowd to get that close, you can watch the band on a flat-screen with a live feed all the way back from the bar.

If you love live music played with drums and guitars, The Larimer Lounge is worth a visit. You’ll get a no frills experience that focuses solely on the music, without dropping the ball on everything else.
