About Le MistralThe « Mistral » is the Provençal name for the chilly wind that blows through the South of France, but the Mistral Club in Aix en Provence the ambiance is anything but cold. Founded in 1952, Le Mistral is situated right in the center of Aix en Provence. It is popular trendy venue for the chic younger Aixois clubbers and offers a mix of music with special focus on electronica, house and techno. Theme nights are popular and DJs such as David Vendetta, Krone, Sukin, Toxic Avenger, Sara & Dannau, Sam Paganini, J.B. Vicelli, Surkin, Bakermat, Traumer and many others have been invited to mix for the dancers on the floor.
Three different bars allow guests to order drinks or cocktails to sip at one of the comfortably appointed tables. Cover charge is about $30 with free drinks for the ladies several nights a week (depending in the season). Drinks range from 5 Euros per glass to 85 Euros for a bottle. Stylish clothes are de rigueur. Major credit cards accepted. Le Mistral Club is a rather small venue, and capacity is only 700 people so it is wise to consider booking ahead or expect a waiting line. Open from Midnight to 6.00 AM, Tuesdays to Saturdays and 7/7 during summer and school holidays.
