About Le Petit Bain

Le Petit Bain is something of a cultural UFO.  Open since 2011, this former barge is tied up on the Seine banks, right off the Bibliothèque nationale de France (BnF), and is the latest link in a chain of nocturnal and cultural venues.  A group of talented architects transformed this barge into a trendy hybrid venue comprised of a bar, restaurant, and concert hall.  The restaurant has a civic calling, in that it is also a school assisting jobs seekers to find new employment.  The concert hall in the hold is run by a skilled technician and offers an eclectic callender of events based on diversity, cultural mixes, and social commitment.  Traditional artists such as Gaada Diwane de Béchar collide with more avant-garde groups of Norwegian electro-pop or indie folk lo-fi.  More notable musicians are beginning to play at Petit Bain, like Ba Cissoko, Tony Allen, and Terry Lynn, and the ambiance on the weekends and on summer evenings is spiced even further by certain top DJs.  Le Petit Bain also welcomes other artistic exhibits.  Open Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 6:00 PM until midnight; Thursdays through Saturdays 6:00 PM until 2:00 AM; and Sundays 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM.  Please see the website for the concert and musical agenda.
