Lift Nightclub

Lift is a large nightclub in Derry that plays commercial house music on weekends and occasionally attracts international house DJs. There are lots of bars, seating areas, and a large dance floor that’s usually busy on weekends. While the decor is simple and the club is not flashy, the crowd dresses up and looks good.

Saturdays are more about commercial dance music, and it’s the alternate Friday nights when big-name DJs play. Sticking to feel-good hands-in-the-air house music, there’s nothing innovative about Lift Nightclub, but it’s one of the few places in Northern Ireland where you’ll get electronic music on a regular basis. Located on the river, it attracts a mixed eager crowd and is renowned across the country.
