When it comes to locally owned and operated clubs in Nashville, it doesn’t get much better than Marathon Music Works. Housed in an industrial building, with brick walls inside and out, high ceilings, a polished concrete floor, and many industrial chic embellishments, this is a certainly a unique hot spot.

The interior boasts more than 14,000 square feet of event space with a standing capacity of up to 1,500. There are two bar areas, each with a full service bar, plenty of parking behind the venue and on the streets, and a kitchen that may or may not be open during any particular show, but that always features special foods and snacks you won’t find at other clubs.

The stage is a massive 40 foot by 30 foot space, and no matter where you’re standing your view will be unobstructed. The sound system is booming, and the LED stage lighting can create numerous special effects to flow seamlessly with the show on any given night.

While the décor and location make Marathon Music Works a standout, there’s another interesting tidbit about the space: The founders and managers are committed to creating green spaces for Nashville residents. As a result, the venue tends to attract bands, singers, and DJs who are in line with the management’s eco-friendly stance.
