About The Demo

Brought to St. Louis by the same people behind Firebird and Lola, The Demo may be a small room, but it’s got a tall stage, a state of the art stereo system, and multi-colored lights that create an intimate setting for both local and national acts to show their sounds.

They describe themselves as “ground zero” for a wide range of genres including progressive rock, EDM, funk, soul, rock, indie, hip-hop, garage, and afrobeat. All shows require a cover, though it ranges depending on the act, and their schedule is hit or miss. They’ll sometimes be booked every night for a week, while other weeks you’ll need to call ahead to see when the parties are raging.

Most shows are all-ages, but there is the occasional 18+ show. No alcohol is served in the venue itself. If your thirst gets the better of you, just step on over to the other side – The Demo is attached to the Atomic Cowboy, which offers a full bar, delicious food, and a stage of its own.
