V Nightclub at MGM Grand

Yes, Detroit is a far cry from Vegas.  But dammit, that isn’t going to stop V Nightclub, located in the MGM Grand Detroit, from importing some of the flash and glitz from the desert and give the good people of Detroit an appropriate venue to enjoy it in.

The sleek, modern interior design pays homage to its Detroit home with plenty of polished stainless steel, and is braced by arching, illuminated wall panels that can change set the entire tone for the club depending on what color scheme they choose.  Not a huge venue, V prefers to appeal to quality over quantity, with dress code enforced.  An elevated VIP area overlooks the dance floor, which is flanked on the other side with the bar, gogo girl platforms and the elevated DJ booth.

The DJ lineup are the best of the local talent, big names like Jazzy Jeff, DJ Vice, and Kid Capri, and not surprisingly a rotating cast of Las Vegas regulars like Scotty Boy and Tony Arzadon.  The crowd is Detroit’s young and fabulous set, 20’s to 30’s, as well as the odd smattering of casino guests looking take a break from the tables.  And like we wish more nightclubs would, V Nightclub is earning itself a reputation for friendly, helpful and professional staff.
