About World Cafe Live Philadelphia

Founded by seasoned entrepreneur Hal Real in 2004, World Cafe Live Philadelphia (WCL Philadelphia) has been built on an easy insight: that a place dedicated to showcasing live music should really be a place that attracts and inspires live musicians. The result is really a three-tiered music hall in which every detail is designed to optimize the live performance experience, from light, sight lines and acoustics to concierge service, equipment accessibility and green rooms.

WCL Philadelphia features live music, food and fun on two levels, seven days a week 11:30 a.m. to 2 a.m.

The Downstairs Live main stage is really a concert hall with acoustics and really good sightlines, featuring shows by legends and emerging contemporary artists, along with complete bar and restaurant offerings.

The Upstairs Live Cafe is really a bar and restaurant, serving lunch and dinner daily, and featuring an intimate stage showcasing national and regional emerging artists.

Additionally, while past guests have described WCL Philadelphia as having an average noise level with the best nights being Thursday, Friday and Saturday, they have also said that it is not the best spot to visit if you are looking to dance the night away.
