Governors Island is open to the public Saturdays and Sundays and all Holiday Mondays from May 27th thru September 25th. Only 800 yards from Lower Manhattan, and even closer to Brooklyn, the fun awaits just a short ferry ride away. Just to your right upon exiting the ferry, you’ll find the Beach Grill serving up our awesome burgers, hot dogs, and sausages prepared fresh and served with style. For the veggie lovers, you’ll flip for the 100% veggie and vegan burgers (no soy fillers) made fresh daily. The grill also offers great craft beers on tap: Blue Point Toasted Lager, Magic Hat #9, Ommegang Witte Ale, and Six Point Crisp Lager.
Leave the coolers and pets at home, get out of the city and come escape to the beach. There is so much in store for you and it’s all just a ferry ride away. See you on the sand!
